Associate of Applied Science Degree in Paramedicine The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Paramedicine is a degree completion program for paramedics. Western Kentucky University will award 40 credit hours for prior learning with National Certification as a Paramedic upon completion of all required course work. (Click here for Program Requirements). Most of the remaining 25 general education hours are available either through the internet, correspondence, or extended campus courses. Each student must complete the following steps in order to meet the degree requirements:
Please note that an application to Western Kentucky University (Click here for Enrollment Services Information) must be completed along with 16 credit hours through WKU to complete the degree.
