BUS 257C Management of Human Resources
A course designed to emphasize the practical aspects of the management of human resources.  Includes employment law, compensation, recruitment, selection, training and development, performance appraisal, labor-management relations, and employee rights.

BUS 270C Labor Relations Management
This course is designed to address the legal and social context of the labor-management relationship; historical and contemporary developments in collective bargaining; work stoppages, impasse and dispute resolution; problems and anticipated developments in labor relations; union elections, union avoidance, as well as contract negotiations and preparation for bargaining.

MGT 400 Employment Law
An overview of the myriad of laws affecting personnel decisions.  Discussions will focus on the implications of employment-at-will, equal em0loyment opportunity, ERISA, FLSA, IRCA, NLRA, OSHA, workers compensation, and other regulatory development. 

MGT 411 Personnel Assessment
Explores the development and utilization of employee assessment methods. Specifically covers fair recruitment, hiring, and performance appraisal practices including application processes, interviews, assessment centers, and employee testing.

MGT 416 Management of Labor Relations
Legal and social context of the labor-management relationship in union and non-union environments; formation, structure and functioning of labor unions; union elections; collect6ive bargaining; contract administration; dispute settlement; impasses resolution; and union avoidance.  

MGT 473 Training in Business and Industry
An introduction to theories, research and methods of training needs analysis, program design, implementation, and evaluation.
