Human Resource Management Certificate

The Introduction to Human Resource Management Certificate in the Business Division meet students’ needs by providing skills necessary for human resource professionals. This program allows students the flexibility of completing a series of courses with an emphasis in management of human resources. A student completing this certificate program with an emphasis in human resources management will be better equipped to apply competencies needed for successful performance in management occupations in manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, and service industries.

You may use previous coursework for up to 9 credit hours of the certificate.  The advisor will make the determination as outlined in Western’s Undergraduate Catalog if the courses taken at another institution meet the requirements for substitution. A minimum of 9 credit hours must be completed at the Community College to receive the HR Management Certificate.  

These courses will be offered mainly during the evening or online so that working professionals will have the opportunity to complete the certificate in a timely fashion.
