Computer Literacy Certificate . . . (in process)

- Introduction to Computing - CSCI 145C
- Web and Media Design - INS 275C
- Advanced Software Applications - INS 285C
CSCI 145C Introduction to Computing
This introductory course is designed to provide an overview of computer terminology and organization with an emphasis on word processing, electronic spreadsheets, BASIC programming, and database.
INS 275C Web and Media Design
Prerequisites: CSCI 145C or instructor's permission
Examines technical aspects, design, and limitations in Internet-based media and presentation graphics. Includes study of software for designing and publishing web pages and web sites. Emphasis is on both planning and creating the web site.
INS 285C Advanced Software Applications
Prerequisite: INS 182C, Operating Systems
This course provides the opportunity for the students to install, configure, evaluate and use a variety of software applications on single user systems and in a network environment. Software proficiency is emphasized as the need for end-user support is vital in both networked and stand-alone systems. This course will provide problem recognition and problem resolution experience at the system and application level.
