Spring Semester 2008
May 2008
May 1 Last day to apply for August 2008 graduation.
May 5-9 Final examinations.
May 9 2008 Spring Commencement for graduate students at 7:00 p.m. in E. A. Diddle Arena.
May 10

2008 Spring Commencement, E. A. Diddle Arena, for the following undergraduate students:
10 a.m. Health & Human Services, Science & Engineering, and Education & Behavioral Sciences.
3 p.m. Arts & Letters, Business, University College, and Community College.

May 13 Final grades due by noon.
May 14 Final grades available on TopNet
2008 Summer Academic Calendar
April 2008
April 14 Bills mailed to students whose schedule includes a May session course.  Due May 5.
May 5 Deadline for receipt of fees for all students whose schedule includes a May session course, regardless of a receipt of a bill.  Students registering after April 13 for a May session course must send payment to Billings office by May 5, regardless of receipt of a bill. Failure to pay fees by this date will result in the cancellation of May session courses.
May 12 Classes begin for May session (M).  Bills will be mailed to all students who registered through May 11. Due May 27. Students registering on or after this date for M session courses will be assessed $50 late registration fee.
May 13 Last day to add a Session M course.  Last day to drop a Session M course without a grade.  Last day to change from audit to credit for a Session M course.  Last day to receive 100% refund for May session course.
May 21 Last day to withdraw from a Session M course. 
May 26 University closed for Memorial Day.
May 27 Deadline for receipt of fees for students who registered through May 11 excluding students enrolled in a May session course whose fees were due on May 5.  Failure to pay will result in $100 late payment penalty.
May 30 Final exams for May session (M).
June 2008
June 2 Classes begin for first 5-week session (A).  Students registering on or after this date for Session A will be assessed the $50 late registration fee.
June 2 Bills will be mailed to all students who registered May 12 - June 1.  Due June 18. Students who do not receive a bill by June 9 are expected to contact the Billings and Receivables Office for instructions.
June 3 Final grades for May session due by noon.
June 4 Last day to add a Session A course.  Last day to drop a Session A course without a grade.  Last day to change from audit to credit for a Session A course.  Last day to receive 100% refund for Session A course(s).
June 10 Last day to file for a change of residency for the 2008 summer term.
June 17 Last day to drop a Session A course with a "W".  Last day to change from credit to audit for a Session A course. 
June 18 Deadline for receipt of fees for students who registered May 12 - June 1.  Failure to pay fees by this date will result in the cancellation of classes.
June 30 Bills will be mailed to all students who registered June 2 - June 29.  Due July 22 (unless A session - Students registering after June 1 for an A session course must send payment to the Billings Office by June 18 regardless of receipt of a bill.).  Failure to pay fees by this date will result in the cancellation of classes.
July 2008
July 3 Roster freeze date for Session A courses.
July 3 Final exams for Session A courses.
July 4 University closed for Independence Day.
July 7 Classes begin for Session C courses.  Students registering on or after this date for Session C courses will be assessed the $50 late registration fee.
July 8 Final grades for first five-week courses due by noon.
July 9 Last day to add a Session C course.  Last day to drop a Session C course without a grade.  Last day to change from audit to credit for a Session C course.  Last day to receive 100% refund for Session C course(s).
July 22 Deadline for receipt of fees for students who registered June 2 - June 29.  Students registering after June 29 must send payment to the Billings Office by July 22, regardless of receipt of a bill. Failure to pay will result in the cancellation of classes.
July 22 Last day to drop a Session C course with a "W".  Last day to change from credit to audit for a Session C course. 
August 2008
August 6 Roster freeze date for Session C courses.
August 7 Final exams for Session C.
August 12 Final grades for second five-week courses due by noon.
Three-Week Summer 2008 Courses
Three-Week Courses:  Students who initially register on or after the first day will be assessed the $50 late registration fee.  Students are permitted to drop/add or change from audit to credit within the first two days of the class.  Through the eighth class day, a student may drop with a "W" or change from credit to audit.  Final exams will be given on the last class day.
