Western Kentucky University Nursing Students Association is a student organization affiliated with the state and national student nursing associations.  The purposes of the association are to aid in the development of the individual student of nursing and the improvement of health care, and to provide educational activities designed to promote personal and professional growth.  Membership in the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students (KANS) is mandatory for all students admitted into the Associate Degree Nursing program.

Benefits:
All members receive Imprint, NSNA's official magazine published by and for students.  Imprint contains articles on current trends and issues in nursing, career development, NSNA meetings, events, benefits, and job opportunities.
NSNA members receive 25% off the registration fee for the NSNA NCLEX EXCEL courses and a 25% discount for the NSNA NCLEX-RN Review book in addition to other reduced rates.

Local meetings are held monthly at the South Campus with a state convention scheduled annually. For more information about KANS, contact Kim Green, faculty advisor to KANS, kim.green@wku.edu.
