LPN Entry Option . . .

WKU ADN Program

After meeting all admission requirements, Nursing 100 & Nursing 110 prerequisites and proof of current LPN licensure, LPNs may choose to omit Nursing 100 Fundamentals of Nursing. After successful completion of Nursing 110, credit will be given to the LPN for Nursing 100 and applied to the LPN student's transcript.

The Licensed Practical Nurse application/ admission process:
1.  Completed application to the nursing program on file. You may print the application documents below:

2. Submit a transcript of your LPN program and a copy of your current LPN license.
3. Must meet all university and program admission requirements.

4. LPN applicants have the option of not taking Nursing 100, but are required to take all other nursing courses.
5.
Applicants must successfully complete the prerequisites: Biology 131, CFS 111, and Math 109 or 116 prior to entering Nursing 110.
6. After successful completion of Nursing 110, the student will submit required documentation for receiving 6 hours university credit for Nursing 100.
